Our Priority Areas

Respecting Human Rights and Labour Management

Navitasys India is dedicated to protecting human rights. We are a committed equal opportunity employer and abide by all fair labour practices. We ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in the country (e.g., forced labour). Treating people with fairness, dignity, and respect is our core value. We champion human rights for our employees as implemented through our code of conduct and other related policies.

Freely Chosen Employment: - All work must be voluntary. Forced, bonded (including debt bondage), indentured, or involuntary prison labour, slavery, or trafficking in persons are not used. This includes transporting, harboring, recruiting, transferring, or receiving vulnerable persons by means of threat, force, coercion, abduction, or fraud for the purpose of exploitation. Employees must not surrender any government-issued identification, passports, or work permits as a condition of employment. Employers (labour dispatch agencies) or recruitment agencies do not require employee pay deposits or recruitment fees as part of their employment. In addition, labour conditions must be provided in written form to the employees in the language that they are able to understand.

Young Employees: Young Employees over the legal minimum employment age are hired; however, young Employees under the age of 18 should not perform work that is likely to jeopardise their health or safety, such as night shifts and overtime, or work longer hours than is permitted by local law.

Working Hours: Working hours are not exceeded by the maximum set by local law. Standard weekly working hours do not exceed 48 hours, based on ILO Convention C001 on working hours. Further, a workweek should not be more than 60 hours per week, including overtime, except in emergencies or unusual situations. Employees are allowed at least one day off every seven days.

Wages and benefits: Compensation paid to employees complies with all applicable wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours, and legally mandated benefits. In compliance with local laws, employees are compensated for overtime at pay rates greater than regular hourly rates. Deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure are not permitted. The basis on which employees are being paid is provided in a timely manner via pay stubs and similar documentation.

Humane Treatment & Non-Discrimination/Non-Harassment: There is no harsh and inhumane treatment, including any sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, or verbal abuse of employees; nor is there the threat of any such treatment. Disciplinary policies and procedures in support of these requirements must be clearly defined and communicated to employees. Navitasys India is committed to a workforce free of harassment and unlawful discrimination. Companies do not engage in discrimination based on race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, union membership, or marital status in hiring and employment practices such as wages, promotions, rewards, and access to training. In addition, unless medical tests are required for legal or safety reasons, Employees or potential Employees should not have subjected medical tests that could use in a discriminatory way.

Freedom of Association: In conformance with local law, we respect the right of all employees to form and join worker councils or trade unions of their own choosing, bargain collectively, and engage in peaceful assembly, as well as the right of employees to refrain from such activities. Employees and/or their representatives are able to openly communicate and share ideas and concerns with management regarding working conditions and management practices without fear of discrimination, reprisal, intimidation, or harassment.

Business Ethics and Responsible Sourcing

Navitasys India adheres to all applicable laws and regulations in its business activities, meet social responsibilities and achieve success in the marketplace.

Business Integrity: The highest standards of integrity are upheld in all business interactions. Navitasys India has a "zero-tolerance" policy prohibiting any and all forms of bribery, corruption, exertion, and embezzlement.

No Improper Advantage: Bribes or other means of obtaining an undue or improper advantage are not promised, offered, authorized, given, or accepted. This prohibition covers promising, offering, authorizing, giving, or accepting anything of value, either directly or indirectly through a third party, in order to obtain or retain business, direct business with any person, or otherwise gain an improper advantage. Monitoring and enforcement procedures are implemented to ensure compliance with anti-corruption laws.

Disclosure of information: All business dealings are transparently performed and accurately reflected on Navitasys India's business books and records. Information regarding health and safety, environmental practices, business activities, structure, financial situation, and performance is disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations and prevailing industry practices. Falsification of records or misrepresentation of conditions or practices in the supply chain are unacceptable.

Intellectual Property: Intellectual property rights are respected; the transfer of technology and know-how is done in a manner that protects intellectual property rights; and proprietary information is safeguarded.

Protection of identity and retaliation: Programs that ensure the confidentiality and protection of Navitasys India and employee whistleblowers are maintained unless prohibited by law.

Responsible sourcing of Minerals: Navitasys India does not use minerals (such as tantalum, tungsten, tin, gold, and so on) or illegally logged raw materials from any area where they can cause serious human rights violations and environmental destruction in the international community.In addition, the exported materials in our products come from countries such as China, Japan, and America, where weapons of mass destruction, conventional weapons, and missiles are likely manufactured, and they comply with the standards required by the international community. In this regard, we have developed a policy to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Furthermore, Navitasys India exercises due diligence on the source and chain of custody of these materials and makes its due diligence measures available to customers upon their request.

Privacy: Navitasys India is committed to safeguarding the reasonable privacy expectations of everyone with whom they do business, including customers and employees. We comply with privacy and information security laws and regulatory requirements when personal information is collected, stored, processed, transmitted, and shared.

Environmental Responsibility

Navitasys India controls all of the environmental pollutants derived from its business activities and uses its best efforts to reduce its environmental impact when providing products to our customers. We adhere to laws and regulations related to chemical and waste management, recycling, wastewater treatment, and air emissions. If customers request environmental requirements related to a process, such as product design or production, in any agreements or contracts, we adhere to such requirements.

Environment Permits and Reporting: All required environmental permits (e.g., discharge monitoring), approvals, and registrations are obtained, maintained, and kept current, and their operational and reporting requirements are followed.

Hazardous Substances: Chemicals and other materials posing a hazard to humans or the environment are identified, labeled, and managed to ensure their safe handling, movement, storage, use, recycling or reuse, and disposal. Navitasys India complies with local laws and regulations prohibiting or controlling the use of particular chemicals and other materials.

Solid Waste: Navitasys India has implemented a systematic approach to identify, manage, reduce, and responsibly dispose or recycle non-hazardous solid waste.

Air Emissions: Air emissions of volatile organic chemicals, aerosols, corrosives, particulates, ozone-depleting chemicals, and combustion by-products generated from operations are characterized, monitored, controlled, and treated as required prior to discharge according to local laws and regulations. Navitasys India conducts routine monitoring of the performance of its air emission control systems.

Product Content Restrictions: Navitasys India is adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and the customer's requirements regarding the prohibition or restriction of specific substances, including labelling for recycling and disposal. In addition, we are adhering to the customer's product content restriction management policy.

Water Management: Navitasys India has implemented a water management program that documents, characterizes, and monitors water sources, use, and discharge; seeks opportunities to conserve water; and controls channels of contamination. All wastewater is characterized, monitored, controlled, and treated as required prior to discharge or disposal. We conduct routine monitoring of the performance of its wastewater treatment and containment systems to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.

Energy Consumption and Green Gas Emissions: Energy consumption and all relevant Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions are tracked and documented at the facility and/or corporate level. We always endeavor and look for cost-effective methods to improve energy efficiency and minimize energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Occupational Safety and Health Support

Navitasys India recognizes that, in addition to minimizing the incidence of work-related injury and illness, a safe and healthy work environment enhances the quality of products and services, the consistency of production, and worker retention and morale. We ensure that we maintain safe and healthy working conditions according to the local laws and regulations.

Occupational Safety: Potential or actual worker exposure to safety hazards (e.g., chemical, electrical, and other energy sources, fire, vehicles, and fall hazards) is identified, assessed, and controlled through proper design, engineering, and administrative controls, preventative maintenance and safe work procedures (including lockout/tagout), and ongoing safety training. Where hazards cannot be adequately controlled by these means, employees are provided with appropriate, well-maintained personal protective equipment and educational materials about the risks associated with these hazards. Reasonable steps must also be taken to remove pregnant women and nursing mothers from working conditions with high hazards, remove or reduce any workplace health and safety risks pregnant women and nursing mothers may face, including those associated with their work assignments, and include reasonable accommodations for nursing mothers.

Emergency Preparedness: Potential emergency situations and events are identified and assessed, and their impact is minimized by implementing emergency plans and response procedures, including emergency reporting, employee notification and evacuation procedures, worker training and drills, appropriate fire detection and suppression equipment, clear and unobstructed egress, adequate exit facilities, and recovery plans. Such plans and procedures are focused on minimizing harm to life, the environment, and property.

Occupational Injury and Illness: Procedures and systems are in place to prevent, manage, track, and report occupational injury and illness, including provisions to: encourage worker reporting; classify and record injury and illness cases; provide necessary medical treatment; investigate cases and implement corrective actions to eliminate their causes; and facilitate the return of injured or ill employees to work.

Industrial Hygiene: The exposure of employees to biological agents (e.g., chemicals used in manufacturing sites, pathogenic viruses, etc.) and physical agents (e.g., high temperatures, noise, radiation) is identified, evaluated, and controlled according to the hierarchy of controls. Potential hazards are eliminated or controlled through proper design; engineering (e.g., the improvement of production facilities) or administrative (e.g., laws and regulations) controls must be used to control overexposures. When hazards cannot be adequately controlled by such means, employees are provided with appropriate PPE.

Physically Demanding Work: Worker exposure to the hazards of physically demanding tasks, including manual material handling, heavy or repetitive lifting, prolonged standing, and highly repetitive or forceful assembly tasks, is identified, evaluated, and controlled.

Machine Safeguarding: Production and other machines are evaluated for safety hazards. Physical guards, isolation guards, and interlocks are provided and properly maintained where machinery presents an injury hazard to employees.

Sanitation, Food, and Welfare: Employees are provided with ready access to clean toilet facilities, potable water, and sanitary food preparation, storage, and eating facilities. Workers have been provided with individually secured lockers for storing personal and valuable items, reasonable personal space, and reasonable entry and exit privileges.

Health and Safety Communication: Navitasys India is providing employees with appropriate workplace health and safety information and training in a language they can understand for all identified workplace hazards that they are exposed to, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire, and physical hazards. Health and safety related information should be clearly posted in the facility or placed in a location that is identifiable and accessible by employees. Training is provided to all employees prior to the beginning of work and regularly thereafter. Employees are encouraged to raise safety concerns.

Product Safety and Quality

We believe quality and safety go hand in hand, so we follow a rigorous quality assurance process for all our products. Our quality and safety standards are applied at every stage of production, from design and engineering to manufacturing and packaging. Our products are designed to comply with all applicable product safety requirements, and we employ industry best practices to continually improve our design and manufacturing processes. In addition to meeting all relevant national and international standards, every Navitasys India product must pass our own safety and quality standards-which are often tougher than global requirements-through a rigorous four-step process.

Design and Development: We design products, create samples according to the test plan, and communicate product-specific requirements to our vendors.

Production: Our QA teams check samples during production to ensure they meet standard requirements and audit samples and finished products throughout each shift. Our in-house reliability lab also tests the safety standards of our products.

Market Monitoring: We monitor and respond to new information on product quality or safety with a focus on customer feedback and emerging hazards.

Continuous Improvement: We continuously improve our quality assurance and product safety processes and work with partners to set and comply with standards.
